Tour Highlights
Soak up the slow-paced luxuries of Greek island life, unstressed by swims of longer distances and taking time to gaze at the warm, blue-green Aegean
Search the coastal shallows of Moon-like Milos, looking for sea turtles, reef fish, octopi and the endangered Mediterranean monk seal
Swim under sea stacks and swooping arches and be entranced by the interplay of light and seawater in secret caves
Take your time finding the treasures of a unique cultural scene, unspoilt by crowds. Seek out a sleepy array of local attractions, from fishing villages to ancient catacombs
Choose between two accommodations in Pollonia, either En Milo or Kymata Studios
Settle into the pace of life on a Greek island and enjoy daily sea swims, escorted by yacht to lesser-known spots. This swimming holiday takes you to the uncrowded reaches of the blue-green Aegean. Swim in a seemingly endless summer, seeking out sea caves, grottoes, stacks and arches to explore. The way radial light pierces the depths here is truly unlike anywhere else we visit.
In water, we will find a different side to this geological museum, swimming between uninhabited islands and searching for local marine life – you might share the warm shallows with sea turtles, reef fish, octopi and, if you’re very lucky, the endangered Mediterranean monk seal.
On land, Milos is defined by lunar-like landscapes of bone-white rocks, dry plants and sheltered coves and bays, hugged by fishing villages. There are a few iconic beaches that cry out to be photographed, like Sarakiniko, on the island’s northern shore – here you’ll also find the wrecked remains of a ship that ran aground in 2003.
There’s a reason Milos is synonymous with magic! We settle into the laid-back pace of island life, unhurried by the worries of busy home life. You will have time to enjoy an array of cultural highlights and you can seek out local attractions as well, including ancient catacombs, a Roman theatre and the Venetian Plaka Castle, perched on the hill of Prophet Elias.
Fallen for Milos but not found your perfect match? Explore our other trip variants for differing distances and specialised itineraries: Milos Explorer, Milos Long Swims, and Milos With Teens.
