14 day peace of mind guarantee

  • You can cancel your booking up to 14 days after paying your deposit for a full refund of the deposit and any additional monies paid towards this specific trip.
  • You'll be refunded to the payment method used for the deposit.
  • If you cancel your booking after 14 days, the deposit becomes non-refundable, but can be transferred to another trip or you can take a SwimTrek credit valid for 12 months, if the cancellation is made more than 90 days or more before the scheduled departure date of the original trip.
  • This only applies to bookings made at least 91 days before the scheduled departure date, and cancellations must be made at least 90 days before the scheduled departure date.
  • If the scheduled departure date is less than 90 days away, this booking becomes non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Two Free Trip Changes

  • Up to 90 days before your original scheduled departure you can change your booking to another available trip or date, or to take SwimTrek credit valid for 12 months, free of charge.
  • You only need to pay your final balance 90 days before the trip starts.
  • Once there are 90 days or fewer before your original scheduled departure, your deposit becomes non-transferrable, and the balance of the trip fee becomes due.
  • You can change your booking twice.

Refund Guarantee

  • If we cancel your trip for any reason, we’ll refund the full amount or transfer the booking in full to another trip, whichever you prefer, within 14 days of the cancellation. # Financial Protection
  • The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) provides financial protection under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 for Swim Trek Limited Membership number 5335, and in the event of their insolvency, protection is provided for non-flight packages sold to UK and EU customers only More details.

SwimTrek Credit

  • In instances where a free trip change is available, and you do not immediately make another booking, SwimTrek may offer account credit to the same value.
  • This account credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue. This credit must be redeemed for travel within 12 months of the date of issue. Non-Refundable Costs
  • Where SwimTrek is able to offer refunds or transfers to other trips or departures, there may be some non-recoverable costs that may reduce the amount that can be refunded or transferred. These could include, for example, prepaid accommodation, boat hire, permits and other services to support your trip. While SwimTrek will make every effort to recover as many costs as possible, in the instances mentioned above, these costs will be excluded from any refunds, transfers or credits offered.

Trip Exceptions

  • The guarantees and commitments above do not apply to the following trips and experiences: Latitude Festival, Race events, such as the Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim, the Hellespont and Dardanelles Swim and the Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim. These race events and experiences include fixed costs such as entry fees paid to third parties, and any refunds or date changes are subject to approvals by these third parties.

Travel Insurance

  • We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for your trip, including cover for COVID-19 related travel disruptions.
  • In all instances where you might need to cancel your trip, you should contact your travel insurance provider to confirm whether they would cover the costs of the trip, and if your claim would qualify.
