SwimTrek attended the world class swimming facility in Greensboro which was full of speedy swimmers with nearly 2000 swimmers, representing 219 swim clubs for the US Masters Swimming (USMS) Spring Nationals in Greenboro, North Carolina. Our mission was to pique an interest in open water swimming adventures, which we certainly did. It was a really fun experience to reconnect with SwimTrekkers I had met in Greece, Turkey and Croatia, and to meet new faces and talk to those anticipating their first SwimTrek coming up in 2016.
After fours great days of chatting, watching fast paced competition and records being set (including a record in the in the 50 back in the men's 80-84 yr age group) and a celebration of inductees to the North Carolina Swimming Hall of Fame we look forward to attending more American master and open water swimming competitions in the very near future.
