Travel Insurance

We consider comprehensive travel insurance to be essential and it is a condition of booking that you purchase insurance which includes, but is not limited to, cover for illness, accident, emergency repatriation, ambulance, air ambulance, helicopter rescue services, cancellation, lost luggage and delays. Your travel insurance should also cover you for open water swimming and any other activity listed in your trip itinerary (including races and competitions, where applicable). Please read your policy details carefully and remember to take them with you on your trip for your own reference.

Please note that if you are a resident of the UK and are eligible for free health coverage through the NHS (National Health Service), travel insurance is not required for medical treatment for trips which take place within the United Kingdom. We do, however, still recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance to cover you for things such as trip cancellation, lost luggage, personal liability etc.

Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that you purchase adequate travel insurance for your needs and we are unable to advise on the suitability of any particular insurance company or policy for your SwimTrek trip.

And, while we can't advise on the suitability of any particular insurance company or policy for your SwimTrek trip, we have included a number of links below to websites which provide further information about insurance for older travellers and which we hope will help to point you in the right direction.
