Camera-toting swimmers, capture your special moments and share them with our community...


Every year we offer SwimTrek guests and guides the chance to flex their creative muscles with our annual Photo and Video of the Year competition. This is your chance to unleash all those photos and videos tucked away on your phones or cameras.

The only rules are that your submission has to have been taken from a SwimTrek trip in the relevant year. If you are supplying video for social media, please also use the 9:16 aspect ratio.

At the end of each year (submissions close 1 Dec), we will select a shortlist of 7 candidates for each category. Each of these will be shared with our community. The entry that wins will be the one with the most engagement on our social platforms.

For Guests (Prizes)

  • Guest: Photo Of The Year - £1000 ($1223 USD) account credit*

  • Guest: Video Of The Year - £1000 ($1223 USD) account credit*

Guest winners, we will add the credit to your account with a 1-year validity. This will be available to use at the checkout of your booking. You only need to have made your booking within the year, rather than travel within the year.*


For Guides (We will contact you separately regarding your prizes)


Please send at least 10 photos or videos from trips in the relevant year, which we are approved to use for marketing purposes (we will credit you with your name and preferred social handles on our channels or website).

Our Content Policy

How will we use your content?

Once we receive your photos/video we will add your additions to our curated Content Library. From there it may be used in a number of ways to promote and advertise SwimTrek, including (but not limited to):

  • On our website (let's see who can win that coveted homepage slider slot)
  • In our social media marketing
  • In our newsletters
  • As part of PR campaigns with third party publications

Will I be credited?

Of course, we will do our best to credit all your offerings (including any social tags you'd like to add) whenever we can. In some circumstances, this may not be possible, but if you are able to indicate specific instances in which you'd like to be credited we will always strive to edit and assess anything we've shared.

What if I don't want SwimTrek to use my content?

If you don't want us to use your content, you can request that we take it down or remove it from our Content Library. Please email us directly at marketing@swimtrek.com and state your name, share the link/screenshot of the photo/video in question and any further details. We will always remove/edit your content if you wish us to do so.

What we're looking for

We're searching for content that describes exactly why you love SwimTrek. High quality videos and photos of your trip as it unfolds. Share your locations, wildlife encounters and best action shots! We can also build reels for our social channels if you capture anything on your phone in portrait mode (9:16). We are always hugely grateful for anything you're able to send us.

Best ways to send your content to us

You can either WeTransfer your content to us (using the email marketing@swimtrek.com), or simply email us directly if your files are small enough to marketing@swimtrek.com.

Also, it might be easier to simply pass your content on through a guide or contact you've made at SwimTrek HQ. Alternatively, you can upload your content to your personal SwimTrek account and share it publicly.


What Content Does This Apply To?

Our policy and incentives apply to all content we receive from you in the following ways:

  • Photos/video shared by our customers on their public SwimTrek accounts

  • Photos/video submitted as part of a competition or campaign

  • Photos/video shared by local hosts, suppliers and guides

  • Photos/video shared with us via WhatsApp groups, or email to marketing@swimtrek.com

  • Photos/video provided by contributors for online blogs

  • Photos/video posted, shared or submitted on social media

  • Photos/video submitted by photographers and videographers commissioned by SwimTrek
