Biography

I had the privilege of learning to swim in the tropical ambience of the Colombo Swimming Club in Sri Lanka. Good fortune continued with an adolescence in Perth, Western Australia, swimming in the river, ocean, and pool playing water polo, club swimming, life saving and SCUBA diving. On the way qualified with a Diploma of the RLSS. Working around a real job and family, I just kept swimming forever with masters swimming in the USA and back in Australia. Now I compete, coach and train coaches of masters swimming in Melbourne, and officiate at competitive swimming meets. I particularly enjoy open water swimming races, and have had some podium successes as I travel through the age categories. Guiding Swim Trek is always the highlight of the year - working with great people and sharing outstanding swimming locations with every guest.
