Product Executive

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join SwimTrek within the Product department. The Product Executive will work closely with the Product Manager to; ensure successful product planning; conduct market-research; effective product positioning against target markets; draw up agreements that enhance supplier relationship management; costing and pricing trips to meet company objectives in terms of revenue and margin contribution and the monitoring of quality against set criteria.

You will have an eye for detail, high standards and want to offer the best service possible to both internal and external customers. You will also need to have a commercial awareness in terms of cost of sale and return on investment.

Key responsibilities include

  • Working with the Product Manager to ensure the website trip notes are factually correct and up to date;
  • Create competitor and market analysis reports that support decision making within the business;
  • Coordinate the critical path for new product development;
  • Introduce ancillary products and services to increase revenue and margin per pax.;
  • Maintain strong, productive & effective two-way relationships with key suppliers;
  • Assist Product Manager to ensure SwimTrek has best rates, terms and conditions;
  • Identify pricing and inventory opportunities, risks and issues;
  • Sourcing extra beds / actioning or trading stop sales / changing release dates as required;
  • Action ad-hoc price and inventory requests for Individual and Group sales;
  • Assisting Customer team to fulfil guests’ special requests;
  • Review and update quality policy and procedures to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety criteria;
  • Monitoring and acting upon guest and guide feedback to maintain quality and improve supplier performance

Skills and abilities required (but not limited to)

  • An excellent eye for detail
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, using features like functions and analysis tools
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative.
  • Ability to work within a busy environment, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Friendly and enthusiastic personality.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with people from a range of backgrounds.
  • Ability to negotiate with a variety of different suppliers.
  • Ability to self-manage and motivate.
  • Able to travel, including overseas, and be flexible with working hours.
  • You must be passionate about swimming.
  • Experience in tour operating or product management is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours

This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week. Our office hours are from 09:00-18:00, from Monday to Saturday.
