Daily Itineraries

Please note that the below daily itineraries are an example of the swims that may take place during the course of your trip, however, actual swim locations and distances will vary according to local weather and sea conditions. Your SwimTrek guides and local boat pilot will determine the most suitable swim locations each day and will communicate the plan with all guests as soon as possible.

Day 1

We meet in the afternoon for our pre-trip briefing in which we discuss in detail the days ahead. Following this, we hold an acclimatisation swim on the hotel’s own beach in Porto Petro. In the early evening, we will have time for our welcome drinks on the hotel balcony where we can watch the sunset.

Day 2

Our first swim today is along the coast towards the stunning Mondrago National Park. The rocky coastline and bays dotted along the swim route are beautiful and the final bay at Cala Mondrago is an explorer’s dream with its myriad of caves. Following time to relax and recover, we head back to Porto Petro where the afternoon is free to sign up for some stroke analysis, or to enjoy the hotel’s spa and sports facilities.

Day 3

We head south for our swims today, starting at the isolated beach of Caló des Moro, where there is a fabulous 40-metre wide beach. We swim north along the coast to Cala Llombars where we stop for a well-earned lunch. The beach here is sheltered and offers lovely views along Mallorca’s east coast.

In the afternoon, we continue heading north to the tranquil fishing village of Cala Figuera. The highlight of the day is undoubtedly swimming through the giant archway of Es Pontas, one of Europe’s most striking natural features. Following this we swim past Cala Satanyi and then follow high cliffs until we reach our destination of Cala Figuera.

Day 4

For our final morning, we head out early to the section of coastline between Cala Figuera and the Mondrago National Park. The bays and cliffs dotted along the coast are some of the most stunning anywhere in the Balearics. Following time to relax and recover we head back to Porto Petro where this trip comes to an end.

  • It was a challenging and wonderful experience. It takes swimming in the sea onto a completely different level.

    Sarah S, UK- 2017
  • Swim Trek Mallorca was the experience of a lifetime. The coaches were exceptional by encouraging us when needed and teaching us open water swim techniques. Will definitely go again.

    Mariella F, UK- 2017
  • Thank you SwimTrek! I have nothing but the best compliments to you and your team for facilitating such an incredible swim experience. I felt the schedule was perfect - it provided the participants with an ideal balance of group activities, such as the welcome drinks and dinners, while giving us enough free time to explore the island on our own. I can't say enough about the leadership of the guides! We had such a diverse group of swimmers of different abilities and goals for our time in Mallorca. They did such a wonderful job of identifying our strengths and reservations in the vast sea; they lead with confidence and more importantly laughs that sprinkled over the group. I cannot recommend this trip enough!

    Josephine P, USA- 2017
  • Absolutely loved my first swim trek experience! Inspirational guides and such a positive new experience. Will never look at a stretch of water now without thinking 'could we swim that?'

    Morag, S, UK- 2017
  • This was my first SwimTrek experience. It was truly an unforgettable escape. Definitely quite challenging in places but swimming along the beautifully peaceful Mallorcan coast with just the fishes and good friends for company cannot be beaten. The professionalism of the SwimTrek team meant we had not a care in the world. I will definitely be back for more.

    Tina, C, UK- 2017
