Enjoy this Caribbean island's stunning coastline and laid back lifestyle
Enjoy one-to-one safety cover as you swim on Haiti’s stunning Côte des Arcadins.
Bask in the clear, warm waters of the Caribbean Sea
While the nation of Haiti is filled with palm-fringed beaches and stunning coastal waters that rival anywhere in the Caribbean, the true beauty of the country lies in its history, culture and people. Join us for a great swimming holiday in Haiti like no other as we take part in the annual 10km ‘Swim for Haiti', a special event to raise funds for teaching local children the fundamentals of swimming.
Staying on the palm-fringed Côte des Arcadins, overlooking the island of Isle de la Gonave, we stay at the locally-owned Wahoo Bay Resort pleasantly nestled between the majestic Matheux Mountains and the Caribbean Sea.
This event is suitable for both competitive and noncompetitive swimmers. The 10km (6 miles) crossing from the idyllic islands of Iles des Arcadins to the La Côte des Arcadins region on the Haitian mainland is stunning, with dazzling, clear-blue water surrounding you. Each swimmer is accompanied by their own personal local fisherman, paddling their own dugout canoe. This truly is an adventure like no other!
Swim for Haiti is truly a special event that directly benefits the people of Haiti and shines a spotlight on this amazing country. We leave every SwimTrek trip with fantastic memories of the awesome people we meet from all over the world - this trip was no exception
Excellent swimtrek experience. The prompt, helpful, personalised and proactive communication that we recieved was brilliant. Exceptional value for money. Loved the friendly and positive atmosphere that everyone created.
Swim Haiti was such a neat cultural experience!! Memories for a lifetime!
We have done 2 SwimTrek trips and enjoy the swimming, the organization and the camaraderie. We are limited to warm water swimming so Haiti was a good fit for us.
I had a lot of fun to swim, visit and work with people from around the world during my trip to Haiti with SwimTrek. The race was quite a challenge and Haitians are welcoming. They gave me great advice to improve my swimming. In short we ate very well and had a great experience.
