This iconic Brighton swim is part of the world-famous Paddle Round the Pier Festival which takes place on Hove Lawns every July. It is a linear 1.5 km swim around the iconic skeleton of the West Pier, past the i360 and finishing on beach in the middle of the Paddle Village. We believe this swim is a great opportunity for both experienced and inexperienced sea swimmers as well as earning you bragging rights to completing a swim around Brighton’s most iconic Pier, giving you a swimmers’ view of Hove’s classic seafront architecture!
There will be both wetsuit and non-wetsuit categories for both males and females.
We look forward to seeing you in the water!
All abilities are welcome on this swim. Conditions during the event may be challenging and swimmers should have a good understanding of open water swimming. They should be capable of swimming 1½ km in the open water and be comfortable swimming in choppy waters and currents prior to the start of the trip.
Please note that the below itinerary is subject to change.
A very memorable swim which I would recommend to others.
This has been one of my favourite swims to do. The water was beautiful and it was really great to make it it to the finish. I met some really interesting and inspiring people also, which made the trip even more memorable.
Exceeded expectations - truly memorable swim!
