It’s that time of year again where you’re desperately seeking some much-needed sun after a long, cold winter. You have to rely on watching ‘A Place in the Sun’ in order to get your daily summer fix. Well, that stops right now!
Here are the top four reasons why you don’t need to wait till the summer season before you pack your bags. Stop dreaming and book your flight!
1. Warm weather- May and June's weather is perfect for an early-summer getaway. It's hot, but not too hot. Temperatures range from 24-28 degrees. The waters are warm and some would say these are perfect swimming conditions, so go top up on your daily dose of Vitamin D with a little of that famous Mediterranean sunshine.
2. Avoid the crowds- If you are looking for blissfully quiet beaches and tranquil waters, May and June's are the perfect time of year for you. Escaping early means that you miss the hustle and bustle of hundreds of holidaymakers and school children breathing down your neck. Visiting these beautiful islands with minimal crowds will allow you to take in the true natural beauty in peace and quiet. The fact that there is less boat traffic in the water throughout May and June is an added bonus for your daily swims.
3. Cheaper trips- A huge benefit of an earlier getaway is that you miss the peak season prices. You can save yourself lots of money by going in May or June, but it’s not just the SwimTrek trip that you can save money on. Flights prices are also much cheaper earlier in the season, with return flights to many of our trips for under £100 return. Everyone loves a bargain, right?
4. Longer days- Not only can you save money, avoid crowds and be the first one of your friends to come home with a healthy glow, you also get the added benefit of experiencing the longest days of the year. On average sunrise begins at 6:00 am and sets around 8:30 pm, which means you have much longer days to enjoy your trip. Bonus!
