 Having grown up and still living in the southern part of Germany, Birgit quite often swims in the Bavarian Lakes and Lake Constance area. Being a competitive “pool paddler” as a teenager and an experienced scuba diver she turned more and more to open water swimming during the last years.
Besides 2 successful English Channel crossings as a solo and relay swimmer, she swam in several open water races in the Baltic Sea and lake Zurich. During winter times, she loves to dip her toes at Cold Water Swimming Championships in Finland and the UK. She always looks forward to sharing her experience and open water enthusiasm with other swimmers.
